SMS PRIVACY POLICY

Fiorita, Kornhaas & Company PC (“Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our clients and other individuals who communicate with us by text message.
This SMS Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information associated with our SMS/text messaging service.
Information We Collect
When you communicate with us by SMS, we may collect and retain:
- Your mobile telephone number;
- Your name and contact information;
- The content of text messages exchanged with our Firm;
- The date and time of messages;
- Information necessary to manage your communication preferences, including opt-in and opt-out records.
How We Use SMS Information
We use information associated with our SMS service solely for legitimate business and client-service purposes, which may include:
- Communicating with clients regarding appointments and scheduling;
- Responding to client questions and requests;
- Providing reminders and notifications;
- Communicating regarding tax, accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or other professional services;
- Requesting information or documents needed to provide professional services;
- Providing updates regarding the status of client matters;
- Other conversational communications initiated by or reasonably related to a client’s relationship with the Firm.
We do not use our SMS service to send unsolicited promotional or marketing messages.
Sharing of Mobile Information
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information, including SMS opt-in data and consent records, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share information with service providers that assist us in operating our communications systems, including telecommunications carriers, Microsoft, Microsoft Teams, SMS service providers, technology providers, and other vendors necessary to transmit and manage text messages on our behalf.
These service providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to us.
We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm, our clients, employees, or others.
Confidentiality of Client Information
As a CPA firm, we understand the sensitive nature of information exchanged with our clients. Text messaging may not be appropriate for highly confidential, sensitive, or legally protected information.
Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, bank account credentials, credit card numbers, or other highly sensitive information by SMS unless specifically instructed by the Firm.
Where appropriate, we may direct clients to a secure client portal or other secure method for transmitting confidential documents and information.
Message and Data Rates
We do not charge you for text messages sent or received through our SMS service. However, your wireless carrier’s standard message and data rates may apply.
SMS Consent
Your decision to provide consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing services from the Firm.
By opting in to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to our SMS Terms & Conditions and this SMS Privacy Policy.
Opting Out
You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a text message from the Firm.
You may also reply HELP for assistance.
After receiving an opt-out request, we may send a confirmation message regarding your opt-out. Please understand that opting out of SMS communications may affect our ability to communicate with you by text message, but it will not terminate your relationship with the Firm or your professional services agreement.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be made available through our website or other designated location.
